I was tired of smelling my wife every night in bed. Decided to give this a try and I don’t think my lungs have ever smelled clean air before.
Unlike those cheap blue ones, this is a good fan.It is more powerful and the 2-each 'D' batteries lasted 6 weeks. The very first day I put the fan in the propane refrigerator, the temperature dropped 4 degrees. This means I was able to lower the thermostat setting and thus save on propane usage. That is, I can maintain 36 F in the refrigerator and 0 F in the freezer with a lower setting, thus save on the amount of propane needed to maintain this temperature. This is a great fan for this purpose. Also, be sure to monitor the temperature in your refrigerator and freezer to keep it at safe temperatures for food, i.e. under 40 F for the frig and 0 F for the freezer. I like this wireless unit available here on Amazon, "AcuRite 00515M" for $35. I checked it against a calibrated thermometer and it was within 2 degrees F, which is good.
It looks, feels and sounds perfect. One question: Shouldn’t you be able to feel at least a slight breeze coming from the fan... how can it circulate air without that feature?I’ll try it out next week and see if it’s effective. If so, I’ll bump my rating up to a 4 or 5, if not, I’ll drop it to a 1 and try to return it. To be continued...Update: The fan does what it’s supposed to do, it circulates the air nicely and very quietly. The quality and solid feel are a considerable improvement over the other guy’s ‘blue one‘... glad I switched!

I own a small refrigerator, I would estimate it to be about 17 cubic inches. It's design would rely on the natural convective activity that would occur when the evaporator at the top is cold. That may be fine if the fridge is not regularly opened, but as it is in my room it gets opened several times a day, letting that settled cold air at the bottom of the fridge escape.Using velcro strips I managed to affix the fan at the top back of my fridge, positioned in a way that it would draw air through the evaporator and blow it downwards, displacing the hot air below. The hot air would now rise up to the evaporator by force, then get drawn through the cold evaporator by the fan. I now have circulatory airflow in my fridge.Placing my hand at the back below where the fan is, I can feel cold air being blown down in the fridge. It's not a powerful fan but it does not need to be. The only downside I have is that I cannot access the on/off switch without first taking it out of the fridge, but that's a minor grievance since it is secured by velcro strips.
After reading previous reviews, I decided to give this a try. In retrospect, I should have coughed up a few bucks more for one with a switch, but maybe I'll dig through my parts bin and add a small toggle... Anyway, the upper cover clip does appear fragile and I was VERY careful removing, and it survived both the beginning and end of my camp trip.I did need to 'help' the squirrel-cage fan along with a finger after installing batteries & popping the cover on, but was still running strong after three days.MOST importantly, the Dometic 3-way fridge in my pop-up camper was noticeably cooler -- when I'd open the door to grab something, cold air spilled out at me, which I've not experienced prior. To counter some statements of it not moving much air, I submit that you only need 'cubic inches of flow per minute' as opposed to 'cubic feet per minute', for a RV size refrigerator. And, placed on the bottom of the fridge, it blows cold air up, which is ideal.
So I was skeptical of this after reading the reviews. But it works amazing and keeps the fridge cooler. You have to turn it on it's side so the fan points straight up from the bottom shelf. But it's flat so it works fine. We have a thermometer in the fridge and it keeps the top so much colder now, before it was much warmer. Give it a try, don't listen to the naysayers, it doesn't blow crazy hard, but you can feel a gentle breeze and that's enough to do the job in a small fridge.

This product is priced way too high. You can go buy computer fans that do the same thing for way less.In my opinion this is a cheaply-made chinese piece of garbage.- The black wire is positive, and the red wire is negative (chinese wiring is backwards from USA wiring I guess).- The plastic is brittle and easily broken. Mine broke when I was installing it.- The fans do not blow very hard. I though for $80 they would blow better.- The "auto" setting just leaves it on full-blast 24/7. Makes me wonder how cold it must be in china vs Arizona for them to set the ambient temperature requirements so low (for $80 I would expect to be able to set the temperature myself)All in all I have buyer's remorse. I overpaid for this and could have done much better.
We purchased a fairly new travel trailer in hopes of having no issues in our camping trips. Our friends bought a brand new luxurious trailer and we both had issues with the temperatures going up and down with the outside weather conditions. In the summer our dometic frig got as high as 93 degrees which was heartbreaking for us and of course ruined all our food which was a very expensive loss. We had to go buy more food, lots of ice and 4 large ice chests to get us through our trip which definitely takes away from the joys of owning a travel trailer. We both bought and installed these fans which blows the heat out of the area where the cooling system is and we’ve had no problems since. Freezer keeping everything frozen and frig keeping every refrigerated. No fears of eating spoiled food. These fans are a necessity for every trailer and RV.
The fans installed easily using the brackets supplied. The controller works fine in auto mode. The directions show the fans installed to blow air out through the vent cover. The natural flow of air is in through the vent cover, through the refrigerator compartment, and then out through the roof vent. Having the fans blow hot air out through the vent works against the natural flow of the hot air (up and out). I installed the fans to blow air into the vent. Under rainy conditions this configuration might allow moisture to be blown into the fans and cause damage to the fans. Do this at your own risk. I installed an in-line 1.5 amp fuse on the +12 volt wire for safety.

I used this fan setup to increase the airflow for my RV refrigerator. We are fulltime living in our RV and find that during the summer months, our refrigerator struggles to keep our food cold enough for just a couple of days. So I installed these fans to blow air up through the condenser coils, and I can attest to a monumental increase in air flow, by a factor of 5 to 6 times. This has to make a big difference in the efficiency of the refrigerator during this time of year. The controller was easy to setup, just remembered that the black power wire is ground, the red power wire is +. I could not find this information in the instructions. After just 24 hrs after installing, the ice cream is solid again and the food is actually cold again. After 48 hr after installation, I am considering the reduction in the setting of the thermostat, even with 100 degree wheather. The Best upgrade I have done.Ven
I got the larger fans and installed them in my 33ft Class C behind the refrigerator in the upper stack just above the coils. I noticed some people said they couldn’t figure out the direction of air flow until after the fans were connected, but mine were marked showing air flow direction and even the direction the fan blades rotated. My only problem was deciding on exactly where to put the sensor. I was afraid zip tying them to the coils and letting it dangle between them was the best place for it. Hopefully the coils won’t get too hot and melt the plastic insulation around the wire. I was a little concerned once I had them installed that I didn’t see any lights come on for fan speed in auto mode, but then I went back and reread the reviews and seen that it only shows fan speed in manual mode on the controller. I would liked to have them show the fan speed in both modes but not a big deal. They definitely put out a lot of air flow and seem to have made significant difference in cooling my refrigerator. So far I haven’t been able test them in the extreme temperatures of summer yet. I took a few stars off for very poor instructions and the cheap controller and wiring. I expected more for the price but overall I like them and hope they will last. If you buy these fans I recommend reading all the reviews and watching the videos available on YouTube prior to installing.
These little fans are the best modification I’ve made to our camper. I put them in yesterday morning, there been running since. We had an issue where the refrigerator would not get below 55-60 degrees in the summer. Which is when most of us camp.. I researched and found these fans. The wires are plenty long enough for the install, I simply let the temp sensor hand in the compartment behind the fridge. I didn’t worry much about exact placement, as the entire compartment gets hot when using it. After install, the compartment now stays cool, with fridge set at about 3/4 to full cold, it read 32 degrees this morning. And it cooled to that point with it empty. Not loaded with pre chilled food items as usual. They are worth it, if they ever die. They will be replaced with another set immediately.

First off this unit is on the pricey side for what it is. A battery powered fan. This unit uses an uncommon battery type, which are lithium. These can be quite expensive and not include a charger for them either. I almost returned this unit after finding this out.If you are not careful you can have $100 tied up in this silly thing. Fortunately for me I’m a lot more careful. I only spent another $25 to get 6 of these required batteries with a charger that came with a silly flashlight that uses these batteries.Upon installing the charged batteries and powering it up. The results were underwhelming. The highest setting might be able to blow up a birthday candle from 2” away. The instructions says the batteries will last approximately 2 days in this mode. The energy used seems excessive for the amount of air coming out of the unit in this mode. The medium setting give about 10 days of use with a notable and detectable amount of air coming out of the unit. On the lowest setting air exiting is almost undetectable. 25 days of use the instructions claim in this mode. A fly fart is more detectable than the airflow from this unit on this mode.So far I have over $60 tied up in the silly thing. I’m not impressed with its performance at this time. I was expecting a higher quality product with noticeable results. What I got was a so-so product with less than noticeable results. So far all the claims made by the manufacturer are gross exaggerations.
When I received it, the box had a factory seal but it lacked the cover for the battery compartment. Therefore it's unusable. Amazon is refunding my money when I drop it off. I initially requested replacement but then realized the rechargeable Li 18650 batteries cost $10-$20 each (requires 3) and that's WITHOUT the necessary charger. You can't substitute anything else because the voltage is different. The total cost for this is silly.
Fan may be fine, but the battery size chosen makes it inconvenient. It’s a weird battery size that is rechargeable and great however hard to find a good quality battery. So I hope I have the bag sorry box so I can return the fan and get one that uses a standard battery size. It ran for 30 hours versus the 600 it claimed

I bought one of these because my RV refrigerator had a pretty good difference in temperature between the upper shelves and the lower shelves. I had dual wireless digital thermometers to use to check this out. Before adding the fan my temperature difference was between 8 and 10 degrees F. Mine was cooler at the top than at the bottom. After adding the fan the temperature difference is between 0 and 4 degrees. Also, the battery life is greater than the documentation stated. I'm on week 6 with new batteries. Will probably change next week.
Good for circulation in the rv frig
Batteries did not last two weeks. It would cost more to feed it batteries than it is worth.

These work, for what I need them to do, but they are noisy; not in vibration, but in electrical noise. Massive electrical noise. They are running off of 12V battery, with a PWM speed reducer and produce an annoying whine. Other fans that I have used do not do this, and to test whether my PWM had gone bad, I tried a brand new fan of a different brand, and it is silent through all speed variations. Nope, these fans kick up a fuss unless they are running full tilt, and then, they still produce an annoyingly high-pitched, trilling electrical whine. I am going to find a different solution. I guess one gets what they pay for. There is a reason this item is so cheap.
I bought these fans because they advertise as being water proof. I bought them to circulate air in an environment with 80% humidity. I bought 2 packs (total of 4 fans) and a month later only two fans still work. The issue seems to be cheap wiring. The first fan to stop working appears to have a wiring issue within the casing of the fan motor. The second fan has issues at the power connector. I haven't touched or moved around these fans since I set them up. Why are the wires failing? I expect it's only a matter of time before the last two fail on me. Don't waste your money like I did
Do they work? Yes. Do they sound like a noisy server farm? Also yes. Are they durable? I wouldn't know -- I switched them out after 2 days because the nose levels were so annoying.

Fan works great, living in the desert when it can reach 115+, this fan makes the difference between being able to cool down my RV fridge before I leave on a trip and simply not being able to. In the middle of summer without the fan, my RV fridge would only get down to around 55-60 deg. With the fans, no problem hitting 30.Since I installed the fan at the top of the fridge coils, I had to remove the fridge vent cap and recaulk the whole thing when reinstalling the cap. Because of that, I decided to install two fans up top, just in case one eventually failed, I wouldn't have to go through the vent cap removal/replacement again. I wired them both up individually to simple single pole switches from radio shack so I could control if I had one or both of them on. I only need one on to do the job of cooling the fridge. Also, you might note there are two thermostats involved with the fan, one you install near the burner, which activates at 140F and an additional thermostat at the fan unit itself which activates at 100F ambient air temperature. If you install the fan and it's not activating, it may be due to the 100F thermostat at the fan itself not activating.August 2016 Update - I originally installed two of these fans, one failed after a year and a half. The second one seems to still be working fine. Due to the complexity of install I'm glad I installed two.
I do a lot of urban camping in my ford ranger. I use a nonhigh top aluminum topper shell as the camper. If anyone who has even spent a minimum ammount of time under a metal camper shell knows how hot it can get in a short ammount of time. So, to help combat this issue I have recently insulated the shell with foam, thin plywood and glued on thin carpet as a head liner. But, you can't ignore physics. A small insulated enclosed space made of metal is a oven. I have operational windows that I can open and that helps some. But, heat rises and still sits at the top of the shell with no where to vent to. So, I cut a hole into the top of the shell and installed a 4 inch pvc pipe through the hole that extends about 3 inches above the shells roof. I had to do some shade tree engineering to secure the pipe to the aluminium shell. I topped the pipe off with a vent cap to keep the rain out and painted everything to match the shell. Thus, allowing the pent up heat to vent to the outside. To assist in moving more heat I installed this small fan. It has helped quite a bit. This fan meets all my requirements it is small, 12volt , very quite and I by passed the thermo switch and installed a toggle switch that I can control. I did not expect alot of air movement from this fan I just needed a fan that would assist with drawing hot air at the shells roof to the vent pipe and that is what I got. As a urban camper I don't want to draw any undue attention to myself with a fan that sounds like a miniature buzz saw. This setup works well for my needs.
I have struggled for a long time trying to get my RV refrigerator to cool better and replaced almost everything but the box. This fan made a huge improvement of 4-5 degrees after instilling it in the top vent. When it gets in the mid 90's to 100s my unit just was not doing well and I worried about food safety on trips. My Kountry Star refrigerator has never cooled as good as past campers and I learned the poor air flow to the top was the problem. There are several videos online showing installation but the latest fan now has the thermal switch built in the fan making one less step. For best results this fan should be installed in the top, pulling hot air out! I removed my refrigerator to improve the ducting and flow by installing some curved flashing near the roof top chimney vent. This made installing the fan simpler also since I used a screwdriver to open a gap in the roof sealant and twist in the fan from the inside and not having to remove--reinstall the roof vent. Some silicone was used to make sure it stayed put. This could also be installed, I assume, by cutting the screen on the vent, then installing from the top but most people remove the vent, place the fan, apply proper sealant, reinstall the vent flashing and then reseal the attachment screw heads. I didn't want to risk damaging the parts on the roof or compromise the factory seal since there are other ways. The best way to verify this fan will improve your situation is to remove the cover from your top vent and place a small fan on top sucking air out and recheck it after waiting at least 12 hours. A remote temp prob or a thermometer should be placed in a cup of water on the middle rack to get the best reading. You may also unplug the thermister wire from the circuit board, or remove the thermister from the fins and let it hang to make sure your unit is cooling at max capacity. Be sure and test each change one step at a time waiting 10-12 hours between test. I would recommend using online resources to check other options first and get you unit working as well as possible first but this fan will help in any situation. I think a roof fan should come with every installation but We all know how things are these days. Thanks for reading,,DS

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Have this fan hooked up in my PC case. In the pics, I have this fan pwm controlled and got it to spin at 10% speed(1k rpm), 25%(2k rpm) and 100%(5k rpm). Setting up a fan curve is pretty easy for this fan on the MSI B450 Tomahawk Max bios. You really dont need to go above 50% speed unless your motherboard etc gets really hot. Great fan and just as loud as all the other ones if the speed is controlled. Also the fan is quite thick so it can prevent you from placing it at certain areas.Update: Got a new motherboard x570 Aorus Elite and fan still works like a charm. I got the fan for its performance and you can really just throw a rgb halo on it and bam! RGB fan lol.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  These are not meant for the silence! However they do exactly what they are supposed to do. Move air! And omg do they! I have a Ryzen threadripper 3900 series and they tend to run hot ... I mean hot on average. However after putting these in ... man did it help!My computer went from running at 63 Celsius (145 F) on average to 33 Celsius (91 F) on average ... this increased its cooling performance by 40% with only running these guys at 1500rpm ... they go up to 5300rpm.Yes they are loud when they get past the 1500rpm but they help me sleep as it sounds just like a fan normally would for that soft ambient noise.
I used this fan to help remove the hot air that gathers at the back of the refrigerator. It does help keep that compartment cooler now. I mounted it on the top of the roof under the exhaust vent.

Rv Refrigerator Fan – The Buyer’s Guide & FAQ:

1. Does it have the features you require?

Before you purchase Rv Refrigerator Fan, make sure again that it has all the attributes listed in your requirements list! If some options are missing, it is better to look for an alternative.

We always suggest that our editors create a list of important features before adding a product to the list and rank it based on these attributes, the quality of the product and the brand warranty!

At the same time if you find a Rv Refrigerator Fan that has everything you need, maybe in that case you shouldn’t mind paying a little more. That’s why it’s important to write a list that includes the features you’re searching for, determine your budget and specifications (if any).

2. Read product reviews

A simple way to find the best product is to look at reviews of that product. Buying guides and reviews can help you learn a lot about the product that you’re planning to buy. If you would like important and relevant information regarding a Rv Refrigerator Fan, read user reviews based on actual experiences with a specific product. They will help you decide on your purchase.

3. Budget and Price Match

Odds are you won’t be able to buy the best Rv Refrigerator Fan using a low budget. That’s why it’s important to write down all of the important features, specifications, and budget. Once you’ve done that, look for products that either equal or near your budget.

Try to stick to your budget, but bear in mind that during your search you will see a model that is slightly better and has an additional feature with a very small difference in price. Consider these advantages. If it’s worth it, you should probably raise your budget.

About Promotions and Discounts

When comparing prices on merchandise, your aim is to purchase the best product at the best price. Although some shoppers will willingly spend their cash on discounts and low-priced items, others will be more cautious of these”too good to be true” offers and discounts. The best way to save your money would be to compare quality and prices of items at different online stores.

4. Always read product descriptions carefully

Not reading the product description before buying is a critical mistake. The problem with many online shoppers now is that they make most of their buying decisions based on the product image displayed. They don’t take the time to read the full product description. To avoid disappointment with your purchase, always check all the information about a product before adding it to your cart. Don’t be fooled by photoshop-edited images that can distort the actual appearance of the product.

5. Warranty and Brand

The majority of the experts we consulted told us to constantly buy Rv Refrigerator Fan, from a reputable brand. They also asked us to write in our buyer’s guide that buying Rv Refrigerator Fan from unknown brands or from untrustworthy companies is almost never worth the savings.

After all, Rv Refrigerator Fan from an unknown brand could be cheap but extremely low quality and hard to repair.

Another advantage of buying Rv Refrigerator Fan from a reputable brand is the warranty. Most Rv Refrigerator Fan from reputable brands come with a great warranty. Cheap products have a warranty too, but it can be very difficult to claim it. So buy models from reputable brands with a good warranty.

Our conclusion:

– So, the best Rv Refrigerator Fan, in our view, is Beech Lane RV Fridge Fan, High Power 3,000 RPM Motor, Easy On and Off Switch, Multiple Side Vents Increase Airflow, Durable Construction.

– Similar in features to the best, but a bit cheaper, is Camco 44124 Fridge Airator with On/Off Switch.

– The best concerning value for money, we choose TITAN- 12V DC Double Rack Mount Ventilation Cooling fan for Fridge Vent and Ventilation Grille with Speed Controller (90mm).
