I got this cord to replace a marine grade Ford I had been using with my rv that was just a tad too short. The quality of the cord is good, but the locking end is a giant pain and never seems to be secure enough. Even using the locking ring, which is a struggle to get secured. Since a loose connection is a good way to burn down the rig, I think I’m going to finally throw in the towel and get something else.
High quality. Didn't know the quality of the item until I received. Very, very thick rubber. I'm happy with it. Highly recommend it.
needed a long power cord for an RV camper. this did the job and running the RV with A/C just great!

While traveling across the US, we've encountered a couple of RV camp sites with no power service (30 amp or more) within the 25 feet reach of our standard RV cord and a level, or nearly so, parking area. This extension did the trick! With various adapters that I bought separately we can use this to connect to 15Amp (using a 30 to 15 A adapter, with limited use of line power (no A/C or heat pump), full capability for our 25 foot class C with 30 Amp service (no adapters), or use a 50 Amp with a 50 to 30 adapter for full function on the larger available power connection.Beats running the generator or suffering in the heat when power is available but our of reach!Note: this product is pretty heavy and substantial so make sure you have space for it!
I cut off female end and wired it into a battery charging unit for my off grid dc system. Male plug is well designed for ease of pulling out. There's a joke somewhere in there.Cord is sturdy yet decently flexible.
Glad we bought this as we venture out to more states and different parks. Some plug ins are not so close to your unit! We were lucky last year to be close enough to our plugin but our neighbor had a heck of a reach, standard 25 ft length from RV was no way near enough. After seeing the distances of some plugins we bought this to be safe. And sure enough we're using it at home since we decided to take RV out of expensive storage, widen our driveway and plug in at home storage. And now as we travel we will always have it with us just I case!!

This 30 Amp, 10 Gauge, 25ft extension cord is damn near perfect. The construction is heavy-duty and very robust. An absolute necessity for those times that a power pole at an RV camp is further away than your RV cable will reach. The handles on both ends make placing and removing the inlets and outlets extremely easy. The 10 gauge wire is exceptionally well-insulated and strong, yet easy to coil for storage. We have found the additional use of a 50 Amp to 30 Amp dogbone, then connected to this extension cord, and then adding a 30 Amp to 15 Amp dogbone to give us additional 120 Volt power for an additional 1800 Watts of use outside of the motorhome for lights, fans, and other 120 Volt accessories while maintaining normal 30 Amp power to our internal needs with the RV's normal cord off the 30 Amp power pole outlet. It just works! All in all, this was a great purchase and high value for the price it is being sold for on Amazon. An easy Five Stars and an honest and VERY hearty recommendation! A+++*If you found my review helpful to you, please let Amazon know by clicking the "HELPFUL" button below!
Any time you run a 30-Amp extension cord, you create a voltage drop, which might cause problems with things like air conditioners. A high-quality, low-gauge extension cord will minimize this. The Camco cord is, in my opinion, just enough to make things work, but with no extra capacity. The price point reflects this, and the value-for-money is good. The connectors on the ends are both rather coarse, and required some very minor filing and some di-electric grease to make them easier to use. In its favor, the cord itself is flexible and easy to wrap and keep neat. At the end of the day, this product does what it's supposed to do, and is priced very reasonably.
Very good quality power cord for the money. Fast 2 day Prime shipping. With RV cords, the terminations and plugs are what makes the difference as to whether it lasts or not. The Camco terminations also seem to be firm-fitting and will last better the one I'm replacing because they won't have arcing that can cause heat and early failure. They also sell the terminations if you need to replace at some point in the future. You just need to have some base electrical tools like wire stripper, screwdriver and lineman's pliers. I'd buy again, and for the price a good buy!

Although Tesla recommends against the use of extension cords for charging it’s vehicles, I would make an exception for this item. It is a beast! Heavy, thick conductor construction is used throughout. I am using it at home to charge my Tesla Model 3 with the mobile charge adapter that came with the car. There is no problem whatsoever. I measured less than 1 volt drop from end to end when charging at 32 amps. The cord is rated at 50 amps, so there is extra current carrying capacity I’m not using. The Tesla charging adapter gets warm with 32 amps, but this extension cord does not. I’m very happy to have this item. If your Tesla charging adapter is too short to reach to your NEMA 14-50 wall socket, this is your easy instant solution!
One of the things I wanted to know when buying is what type of cord this was. The description does not cover this so I will. The cord I received is STW cord, which means the outer jacket is thermoplastic, not thermoset. Thermoset is a much more durable product than thermoplastic. Furthermore, This is STW (not STOW) so it is NOT oil resistant. Ideally (at least for me), the cord would be SOOW and that way I know the cord would be the last one I ever purchase. So for me, the STW cord is 2-stars and the value is 4-star because the price is a little steep for this type of cord. Also, the male prongs bend very easily. Do not drop the end on the ground, even from just a couple of feet as the prongs will bend. Another strike.Technically, the cord is weatherproof and will serve my needs just fine. It is CSA approved for outdoor use. The cord is highly flexible and the grip handles are so easy to work with. Really like that part. The carrying handle is also a plus. For me, I just know that I have to go easy on the cord for fear of damaging it, and if I do that, I have no doubt the cord will last.So overall, it's a 4-star value and 2-star quality. 3-stars.
I got an email from Camping World telling me about a sale on these extension cords. I looked at their site and they wanted about $140. I really needed the cord and almost ordered from them, but I checked Amazon first. Surprise: It was lots cheaper here. Yay. Deal done. This is a great cord. My stock 50A power cord that came with my fifth wheel is too short to reach to my house and plug in and charge my coach batteries. I've used other extension cords, but they sometimes get hot--especially if I don't completely uncoil them. So now I use this Camco extension to reach the outlet in my garage. Even though the garage outlet is only a 20A breaker, it's still a more efficient charge and safer connection to use the stock cord, plus this extension, plus the dog-bone adapter to reduce down to the 110 outlet. The connections are clean and I get the best charge I can possibly get from that outlet. As long as I don't run the air conditioner or any other heavy appliances, I won't trip the breaker in the house panel. This cord is constructed well. The ends are good and easy to plug/unplug. The Velcro carrying handle is a big help too. Well done.

I used this item as an extension cord to charge my Tesla Model 3. I needed 25 feet and this gives me a little extra. Doesn’t get warm or hot while charging. Works great and is definitely heavy duty! Little hard to bend. Is also heavy, so you know it’s solid!
This cord is really thick but pliable and yes, it weighs 20+Lbs! Nowhere on the packaging does it say that the conductors are copper so, they could be anything. Yes, the wire gauges are given and marked directly on the cable but that is all and I was concerned lest the unknown Chinese metal introduce ohmic losses and limit the charging current. So, immediately to the test station, namely my new Tesla Model X.Test results: Voltage is 247. Charging current without 'Extension Cord' is 40A (as expected). Charging current WITH 'Extension Cord" is 40A.Conclusion: Extension Cord works well and is suitable for Tesla Model X. Conductor metal is still unknown but, who cares? So there you have it folks, another win for Amazon purchasing. At 10 Lbs. lighter than the only other serious contender, this baby is going in my 'Frunk.' Too bad someone doesn't make a 30' extension cord out of the same supple, slim wire that Tesla uses but then, Tesla charges over $500 for their original cord. Oh, BTW, Tesla does NOT endorse the use of extension cords for charging Model X so I will only use it in the case of dire necessity - with confidence.
Took a recent trip to Panama City Beach and the cable worked great with brand new 2017 Tesla Model X, using my brother in law dryer 30 amp Nema 30 outlet. I had to buy an adapter to work with this cable and his dryer outlet. Cable is very thick and in great quality. It plugged right into the Tesla mobile charger and gave me 22 miles per hour charge speed. Recommend for all Tesla owners.

At first glance this may seem like a great deal. It looks like a quality product but don’t be fooled. After 3 months of use it caused an electrical fire in my garage. Fortunately, the fire was contained, but it cost me $550 in electrical repair.Do not use this product as an extension for a Tesla 40 Amp charger. Although the plugs fit and the description claims it can be used for EV... DO NOT USE IT. I had a full assessment conducted by two electricians. The source of the fire was this product.
The lack of handles makes this look like your shore cord. The main reason I bought this was so I could hide my surge protector under the RV ( or in the storage compartment if closer than 15 feet) . If you use your regular shore cord with the surge everyone can see the surge hanging off the power box and you risk theft. The lock boxes are a joke so save your money. This additional 15 feet did not drop the voltage in my RV and I feel my surge is now safe from being stolen. It's not likely someone is going to crawl under my RV and see this cord is an extension with a surge attached to the shore cord.
Great value. Every bit as rugged as the Furrion power cable that came with our fifth wheel. This adds 15 feet to it, has indicator LED’s at the plug, and is clearly of great quality. Used it for a week recently where we had daily afternoon thunderstorms and intense heat and sunshine the rest of the time. Must have.

Do not be confused by some of the reviews that seem to say this is to bring 30 amp service to a 50 amp RV. It’s a VERY heavy duty item to connect a 50 amp service to a 30 amp RV. Some private RV parks that only have 50 amp service will have a “loaner” if you have a RV with a 30 amp shore power cord like I do. Otherwise, you’d better own one of these beauties.
I really love this RV adaptor plug! Now all I have to do is hook this up to the camper and then to any extension cord to be plugged into an outlet on the house. So much easier and faster than dragging the 50 amp cord out and around. It gives me enough power to put the slides in or out, run the lights, work the tongue or jacks and cool the fridge before a trip out. It appears to be very well made. I’ve already used it several times and it works perfectly. Just what I’ve been looking for.
I bought the adapter to plug in my teardrop in the garage to keep the batteries charged and everything powered. I have kept the teardrop plugged in now for months. The adapter fits perfectly and is build very strong.

Asked Amazon subscribers if two 50’ cords could be used for a long connection. Replies were absolutely so I purchased two. They worked great for the RV. Old cord had a power drop and microwave was fried. Not this cord and replacing the microwave it worked fine.
Received on time, quality item, however, I had an issue with female plug, contacted RVGuard and they offered several options, including complete replacement of the entire extension cord and shipped it quickly. Very satisfied with how they responded, insuring complete customer satisfaction. Thanks RVGuard.
I have used this one time in now and I’ve noticed that the outside wrapping is separating from the connector exposing the terminal wires. This can be very dangerous and cause a fire or loss of power. Again, I am warning all potential buyers that this unit was used one time, please note the photo and below. I bought for a backup and glad I noticed the defect in workmanship.

I needed the way to lose my Tesla charger closer to the garage door so I can charge outside. Well instead of having an electrician come and spending hundreds of dollars to put in the new outlet or move my existing Outlet this extension cord was the perfect solution. I charge my Tesla through this at 40 amps it doesn't get warm or hot to the touch even after hours of charging so the wire is good quality. Also it's nice to have 4 trips with an electric vehicle 220 mobile charger 220 plugs aren't always outside and easily accessible. If you have an electric vehicle and don't think you'll ever need something like this take my advice it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Even though Tesla says not to put any extension cords between you and the car this can probably be the exception. The feel and overall thickness of the cable seems to be extremely high-quality with zero compromise.I am using the 15 foot Nema 1450 extension and it’s working great with my mobile connector. There is zero heat buildup even under full load. The connector head on both ends is extremely high-quality and does not get warm.Charging starts and continues at full speed without any dips or loss of power. Overall this seems to be a great purchase any viable solution for electric car charging. Will be ordering a second cable to further extend my reach and for traveling.
The cable is really heavy and solid as others have said. The connectors are firmly attached. The grip handle makes it easy to plug and unplug from the 14-50 socket. Overall, seems to be excellent quality.I picked up the 15ft version as the location of my 14-50 outlet is in the center of my garage. On my old Nissan Leaf, this was a perfect location. However, with the charge port at the rear driver side on the Tesla Model 3 and pulling in head first, there just isn't enough cord with the provided mobile connector to reach the Model 3's port. Using this extension cord allows me to move the mobile connector enough to make the cable reach, and is far cheaper than getting an electrician out to move the outlet or hard-wire a new EVSE.

50 Amp Rv Extension Cord – The Buyer’s Guide & FAQ:

1. Does it have the features you need?

Before you buy 50 Amp Rv Extension Cord, be sure again that it has all of the attributes listed in your needs list! If some options are missing, it is better to look for an alternative.

We always suggest that our editors create a list of important features before adding a product to the list and rank it based on those features, the quality of the product and the brand guarantee!

At the same time if you find a 50 Amp Rv Extension Cord that has everything you need, maybe in that case you shouldn’t mind paying a bit more. That is why it’s important to write a list that includes the features you’re looking for, decide your budget and specifications (if any).

2. Read product reviews

An easy way to find the best product is to look at reviews of that product. Buying guides and reviews can help you learn a lot about the product that you’re planning to buy. If you want important and relevant information about a 50 Amp Rv Extension Cord, read user reviews based on real experiences with a particular product. They’ll help you decide on your purchase.

3. Budget and Price Match

Chances are you won’t have the ability to buy the best 50 Amp Rv Extension Cord using a very low budget. That is why it’s important to write down all the important features, specifications, and budget. Once you’ve done that, start looking for products that either equal or near your budget.

Try to follow your budget, but bear in mind that during your search you will see a model that’s slightly better and has an additional feature with a really small difference in price. If it’s worthwhile, you should probably increase your budget.

About Promotions and Discounts

When comparing prices on products, your aim is to purchase the best product at the best price. Although some shoppers will willingly spend their money on discounts and low-priced items, others will be more cautious of these”too good to be true” discounts and offers. The best way to conserve your money is to compare quality and prices of items at different online stores.

4. Always read product descriptions carefully

Not reading the product description before purchasing is a serious mistake. The problem with many online shoppers today is that they make the majority of their buying decisions based on the product image displayed. They do not take the time to browse the full product description. To avoid disappointment with your purchase, check all of the information about an item before adding it to your cart. Don’t be fooled by photoshop-edited images that could distort the actual appearance of the product.

5. Warranty and Brand

The majority of the experts we consulted told us to constantly buy 50 Amp Rv Extension Cord, from a respectable brand. They also asked us to write in our buyer’s guide that purchasing 50 Amp Rv Extension Cord from unknown brands or by untrustworthy companies is almost never worth the savings.

After all, 50 Amp Rv Extension Cord from an unknown brand can be cheap but extremely low quality and difficult to fix.

Another advantage of buying 50 Amp Rv Extension Cord from a respectable brand is the guarantee. Most 50 Amp Rv Extension Cord from reputable brands come with a good warranty. Cheap products come with a warranty also, but it can be very tricky to claim it. So buy models from reputable brands with a good warranty.
